WEB.DE offers its users the opportunity e-mails to digitally sign (to sign with a digital certificate). one receives such an e-mail, a yellow warning will appear above the text e-mail.
In order to enable Mac OS X Mail digitally signed mails of WEB.DE, the appropriate certificate in the WEB.DE X509Anchors keychain is imported. The certificates can be easily installed after downloading with a double. One will be in demand in which keychain you want to install the certificates. After the root and the e-mail certificate has been installed, signed mails of WEB.DE marked with a (if not tampered with en route were). When sending signed messages one should bear in mind that in some corporate networks, e-mail attachments are acceptable.
